- Support for international cooperation related to Aids to Navigation, such as cooperation with the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities(IALA)
- Collection, analysis, and provision of information related to Aids to Navigation from international organizations
- Research and development, and testing and inspection of Aids to Navigation equipment and supplies
- Support and manage the Aids to Navigation-related education, and cultivate professional human resources
- Support for cooperative development with other nations regarding Aids to Navigation
- Maintenance of buoys established and managed by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries
- Operation and management of the National Lighthouse Museum and marine lighthouse cultural spaces
