Major Activities
As an Associate Member of the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA), K-AtoN has actively participated in its committees and major conferences, supporting the IALA expert group activities, and disseminating and sharing the technologies and information acquired with relevant domestic institutions. In 2018, with the support of K-AtoN, Korea successfully hosted the 19th IALA Conference in Incheon.
Furthermore, the Institute cooperates with developing countries including establishing a master plan of Aids to Navigation, building testbeds and infrastructure, training officials from developing countries, and transferring technology.
